Stumbled on this site just a couple of days ago and, ever since, I’ve been gobbling up these amazing movies — particularly Chilean, Argentine,, Brazilian, Mexican — as if afraid that, by tomorrow, they’ll all be gone, as so many good things are. Picking the movies almost at random, but for a quick glance at IMDb ratings, I just now watched the 1952 Mexican La Noche Avança. Every bit as good as what Hollywood did in the period. Maybe better. Shall now go on to the Senegalese La Petite Vendeuse de Soleil. These accolades are from the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Whoever it is that assembled this archive, profoundest thanks.
