Quinterfield Sr., turn over to him coined gold which he will melt down and presented as newly-mined from Cora’s Death Valley mine. Sally is in on the scheme as Collins has told her it is part of the plan to get Quitenfield’s son to finance a show for her. But Sally falls in love with Neil Graham, who is an undercover G-Man.

Bobby is the story of Raj, the poor little rich boy who has everything but the love and attention he craves, and Bobby, the granddaughter of his old maid in whom he finds love and support. The two sets of parents, with their social and financial differences, make it impossible for the young lovers to be together. What follows is a touching tale of how the pair fights society and their parents, proving that love does conquer all and that a big bank balance does not automatically provide respectability.

Warhol Superstar Holly Woodlawn plays Eve Harrington, a small-town girl from Kansas who tries to make it big — or at least find a roommate — in New York in this long-lost madcap movie musical extravaganza from filmmaker Robert J. Kaplan. Along the way she’ll get tangled up with everyone from wrestlers to crunchy granola lesbians on her way-too-relevant quest to find secure housing.

One of the very first films to be built around a trans actor, Scarecrow in a Garden of Cucumbers is a comedic tour-de-force for Woodlawn, then fresh off of making Trash and Women in Revolt! for Paul Morrissey. With a memorable supporting performance from fellow Warhol Superstar Tally Brown as Mary Poppins and voice cameos from the likes of Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin, Scarecrow should’ve become a huge midnight movie sensation, but instead faded into obscurity and has sat unseen for the past 50 years. Its recent rediscovery and restoration by the Academy Film Archive is cause for celebration — and a timely reminder that trans people have always been on the screen.

In 1981 Hanna Barbera had come up with the idea of an animated TV special for ABC titled Rock Odyssey. The film would be shelved (most likely due to its violent and graphic imagery) until the mid-1980s when the project would resume production. The film would feature many popular songs at that time by such artists as Jerry Lewis, The Beatles, and Wham!, which were all being covered by their own singers. The film, narrated by a jukebox voiced by Scatman Crothers, tells the story of Laura who’s searching for true love through the four decades of 20th century rock.
