Of all of Sartre’s plays, this was the most discussed and opposed because of its political content, the problems raised, the instrumentalization of which it was the object. The story told, although transposed into a fictitious world, is inspired by the assassination of Leon Trotsky by his secretary Ramón Mercader, a Stalinist agent.

This is a composite version that I made recently, combining 2 sources, most of the series is taken from this upload (many thanks to flemishdog for posting it), I trimmed the commercials and did some slight tweaks in colors, brightness and contrast levels, the Australian airing was missing the last 8 minutes or so so to fill the missing minutes at the end I used a copy from the UK TV airing that while it had higher quality image the sound was worse, you’ll notice quality change 2:16:48. Alternatively, and if the quality maybe is a bit too rough for you, you can download a higher quality although cropped and edited version that was released on DVD in the UK from here.
