Dario Argento meets the Marquis de Sade as sexploitation guru Norifumi Suzuki plunges us into a maelstrom of torture, secret masochistic desires and blasphemous rites. A young woman enters a convent to investigate the mysterious death of her mother. She soon discovers a smorgasbord of vice as she’s abused by lecherous archbishops, a lesbian mother superior and a line of fellow nuns ready to whip her (in the film’s most deliriously over-the-top scene) with rose-thorns.

An English professor interested in photography is given a pair of special sunglasses by an Austrian colleague. To his surprise and boyish delight, he discovers they’re X-ray specs, which allow him to see through people’s clothes! As he ventures across Europe, he is pursued by spies who’re after the glasses. He eventually manages to elude them, and settles down to a life of ease, ogling naked women on beaches.

Jess Franco regular Adrian Hoven directs, and future ‘Blade Runner’ star Rutger Hauer plays a disaffected sailor turned hard drinking womaniser. Quite a few lovelies appear alongside Hauer (most of whom he beds), including the foxy Dagmar Lassander (‘Forbidden Photos Of A Lady Above Suspicion’) and Shirley Corrigan (‘The Devil’s Nightmare’). Rutger returns home from six months at sea to find his wife, whom he was deeply in love, has unexpectedly left him and is now a junkie whore. Devastated, he tries to ease his pain with booze and cheap thrills.

English dubbed version of this rare early Rutger Hauer film ripped from a 1st Gen VHS, many thanks to ChupaX @Myspleen for the rip. As it sometimes happens with VHS sourced copies of films it’s not possible to get rid of all the interlacing with Handbrake so it’s not the best copy but still totally watchable, unlike the other VHSRip of this film floating around this copy doesn’t have Spanish subtitles burned-in so it’s still an upgrade compared to that one. If you are an experienced encoder and you’d like to try making a better encode with some of the more advanced programs like AviSynth or Staxrip you can download the source file that I used to make this rip here. When they don’t find the owner of the gas station, the three are startled by seeing a young man Charlie, holding a gun along with his girlfriend Judy. The couple have spent the past several days evading arrest and leaving a trail of corpses behind them. The couple terrorizes the teachers in broad daylight without any mercy.
