In reply to Brad Stevens. It's both. Many scenes use the same exact footage as the French version, just with dubbed dialogue, other scenes use alternate takes where the actors are speaking English, but even then the actors still seem to be dubbed over

Nope, Their lips are moving in French. This is a very well done English dub over the actual movie.

Watch the original in French and you will see it’s the same thing coming from their lips.

I can confirm, as Le Samourai is one of my fave films of all time….this IS Le Samourai with an English dub, and a very well done dub I might add, over top of the film itself.

i would object. this is the english dubbed version “the godson” released 1972 from the original french release “le samourai” from 1967. alain delon existed only once, he did not have a english speaking doppelganger.
its a nice 35mm print with plenty of charming scratches on the print and audio. i recommend.
