Well I liked it, I kept thinking about the stupidity of their actions, then it was revealed at the end. I actually liked the ending with a peaceful kind of happy feeling.

In reply to Vidor. First version was called ODD OBSESSION, in 1959, by the great and underrated Kon Ichikawa. There was also a sordid version by Tinto Brass I never made it past an half hour of. Looking forward to this version.

In reply to Vidor. It isn't, it is from a book called The Key by Jun'ichiro Tanizaki. There are several adaptations of this book, Odd Obsession is the earliest.
