Interesting social document, baring in mind the situation in N.Ireland at the time, barely half way through a slow dreary civil war with only half the dead rostered it cannot be denied that this flowering of punk, recorded here in microcosm must have had some part to play in the period of resolve that Belfast exists in now. As one of the lads remarks about the positive energy that surfaced at that time amongst a youth cohort that, going forward, would have been the working, voting backbone of the city fifteen years later, with the music that was being created ‘you have a massive divide, but you have a good reason for crossing that river’.
