I found this Film looking into Shinichiro Arakawa (one of the directors of this movie). His work with fashion is very similar to the aspects shown in this movie. If you just watch this movie on it’s own, it would seem as a weird movie about color, but if you look into Shinichiro’s work as a Fashion Designer. Shinichiro uses a lot of red in his work and that is obviously shown here in Maeda’s suit that he wears throughout the movie. The Ishihara plates are also part of Shinichiro’s work as well. I think that the movie is also supposed to represent Shinichiro because his whole life (His dad worked in textiles his whole life,) he has been around color, but what if he was color blind, would that make him different than who he was when making the movie? Also, someone telling you what is right and wrong is very frustrating, and I could assume that this is also another tie to Shinichiro himself, as he went to school for Business and not for fashion, most likely because his parents wanted him to have a stable job, and not be a kid who wants to be a designer that is most likely not stable what so ever.
