I too am thrilled to have finally seen Lily Marlene in English. The only copy I’ve been able to find is a German language version, which Melbourne University film library has relegated to some remote storehouse, even though they have Fassbinder’s other 42 films/TV series, etc. in their DVD library proper. I’m now on a mission to have them put it with the others where it belongs.

I have been searching for the film in English for literally decades – it’s the ONLY Fassbinder film I have never seen and don’t own a copy of! I was able to download and burn it to DVD thanks to you – you’ve made this old film buff VERY Happy!
